The County Attorney advises and represents the Board of Supervisors, County Administrator, the various commissions and boards, and County employees in civil matters involving the County. New Kent County currently employs Hefty, Wiley and Gore, P.C. as the County Attorney.
What we do:
Daily work includes advising employees and officials on the laws, rules and regulations governing County business, drafting and reviewing ordinances and resolutions, contract reviews and analyzing various laws and proposed laws that could affect the operations of County government.
