The Voter Registration and Elections Office is committed to providing each citizen of New Kent County with the opportunity to exercise his or her right to vote in an efficient and equitable manner in accordance with federal and state election laws.

The New Kent County Voter Registration Office and Central Absentee Voting Precinct is located in the Health & Human Services Building at 7911 Courthouse Way . The Voter Registration Office is in Suite 400 and the CAP has been established in the large meeting room in the building.

All of New Kent County moved from the 7th Congressional District to the 1st Congressional District after January 1, 2017.

Call for 2020 Democratic Party Primary (PDF)

A primary election has been called for the purpose of selecting delegates to the national convention for the Democratic Party for the office of President of the United States.  The sample ballot (PDF) has been published.  Official voting information (PDF) for this primary is also available.  Democrats are the only party holding a Presidential Primary in Virginia on March 3, 2020.  Republicans chose to select delegates to their national convention at a state convention.  Because Virginia doesn't require voters to state their party when registering, any registered Virginia voter may cast a ballot in the March 3, 2020 Virginia Democratic Presidential Primary.  For more information, please go to
