Notice for Minitree Glen & Quinton Park subdivisions water customers

The Department of Public Utilities has contracted with Town Hall Painting to perform maintenance on the water storage tanks that supply the Minitree Glen and Quinton Park subdivisions. The maintenance includes sandblasting, interior and exterior painting and ventilation of each tank. The contractor has prior experience working in residential settings. In order to minimize disruption to the neighborhood, the contractor is also responsible for preventing off-site dust, as well as limiting the site working hours to 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The contractor estimates 60 days per site for completion of the work, beginning at Minitree Glen, in mid to late October. The contract substantial completion date is March 19, 2018. While every effort is being made to minimize the disruption during these periods, please be aware that construction noise and construction traffic will be unavoidable. Also, please be aware of the need for voluntary water conservation, as water storage volume at each site will be reduced during tank painting.

Disruption to the operation of the water system should not be noticeable under normal conditions. As always, please report any water problems to the Department of Public Utilities (804-966-9678) or the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line (804-966-9500).

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during the renovation period. If you have any questions, please contact Public Utilities.
