National Drug Take Back to take place on April 30, 2022

The New Kent Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the DEA National Drug Take Back on Saturday, April 30, 2022. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office. Please properly dispose of these items to avoid having them stolen, lost or misused. It's a safe method for the environment too.

Board of Equalization deadline

Did you miss the deadline for appealing your assessment with the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office or did you appeal and still believe your 2022 proposed assessment is greater or less than fair market value or not uniform with like properties? You have another method of appeal.

You can APPEAL your 2022 assessment to the Board of Equalization by April 29, 2022 (4 p.m.), and it’s actually quite easy! Visit the Board of Equalization webpage for details concerning this process.
